The Slovenian Wine Festival has celebrated its 10th anniversary. 10 festivals, 10 years of new experiences, 10 years of leaning and 10 years of hard work.

The organizing committee is completely devoted
to their aim: to present wine producers and
their wines to the visitors as well as bring
experts, buyers and the media to the wine
producers and create opportunities for wine
producers to meet the competition, enabling
them to position their wines in the environment.

The Slovenian Wine Festival strives to present the
wines of Slovenia and spread the culture of wine
drinking. Moreover, the Festival strives to
contribute to better knowledge of wine varieties and
position Slovenia as a country of excellent wines,
where quality, not quantity, counts. The Festival
offers something for everyone who considers wine
as business, passion and love or is eager for
knowledge about wine. The Festival is for everyone
who appreciate the hard work of wine producers
and winegrowers and who see a professional
challenge in wine. Due to their various and quality
tastes the Slovenian wines receive much attention.
Therefore we invite you to visit us and enjoy the
aroma and taste this noble drink, meet old friends
and discover something new.
 
Traditionally, the Festival is accompanied by
evaluations, thematic evenings, workshops,
organized tastings, tastings of Slovenian wines of
top-quality and some wines from abroad as well as
presentations by Slovenian wine connoisseurs.
These events take place a week or two before the
Festival, as our aim for each November is that Ljubljana, as the capital of
Slovenia, lives and breathes with Slovenian wines.
